Emergency Medicine and Acute Care Research Fellowship

Research productivity expectations

  • Submission — one or two first-authored papers and two national abstract submissions
  • Funding for conferences where the fellowship candidate’s research is accepted will be provided by the department of emergency medicine

Department of research expectations and responsibilities

  • Attend monthly research department meetings
  • Submit abstracts to UF Research Day event

Independent funding

Fellows will be expected to apply for one or more junior scholar research grants before the end of the fellowship.

Didactic study

The didactic portion of the curriculum will be individualized to provide well-rounded instruction in clinical research through the UF Training and Research Academy for Clinical and Translational Science (TRACTS) certificate program.

This curriculum will be completed in the first year of the candidate’s fellowship and will culminate in a certificate of completion. For fellows completing a two-year fellowship, the UF Master in Health Outcomes and Master in Public Health are also available.
