Education
Our education division oversees one of the most established EM residencies in the country, robust clerkship experiences for medical students, and fellowship opportunities in Pediatric Emergency Medicine, Emergency and Acute Care Research, and Emergency Medicine Ultrasound. Additionally, we provide training and resources to EMS personnel and several continuing medical education activities.
Emergency Medicine Research
The Department of Emergency Medicine oversees departmental grants, research, patient safety and educational initiatives funded by federal (NIH, DOD and AHRQ), private foundation, industry, Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute and internal university grants.
Pediatric Emergency Medicine
Our division of pediatric emergency medicine sees more than 22,000 patients annually at UF Health Jacksonville's Pediatric Emergency Department. Our faculty host a six-position, ACGME-accredited PEM fellowship and are highly active in clinical research.
